Yes, as long as it has ammonia in it.

Most of the jewelry cleaners have ammonia in them.

won't ammonia adversely affect the seals/gaskets that it comes in contact with?

Ammonia has no significant effect on the strength of natural rubber products. Also your not exposing the gaskets for an extended period.

You could also use a bit of dish soap and just let it soak.

I find that window cleaner works like a champ and I have never had any problem with it.
