I agree - the special edition (i.e. logo'd) Airwolfs (Airwolves?) look a lot better - the sunburst dial is distracting

just wana say theat both are lovely, but for me B-1 is the close to heart since i have one and am so pleased for it, even if i fined an Airwolf i dont think i would have it cause its the same functions as a B-1 but with a less beauty. i go for B-1

I really wanted a B1 but as it had been discontinued I never thought I'd get one, as I didn't want to go down the used route. I was fortunate enough to get steered to an AD in England who had several brand new old stock B1's so I got my Slate B1 completely unused and with the full Breitling Warranty to boot.
I like the Airwolf, but I adore the B1.

Best wishes,

Verner

I Had just the same dilema a couple of weeks ago and went for the B-1. I too found a Brand New old stock Black face on a Bracelet.

My reasoning for going with the B-1 were:
- I prefer the plane face of the B-1 over the Airwolf ridged effect
- I think that the bezel actually looks better on the B-1 and is more functional with the countdown markers
- I just dont yet like the Airwolf bezel that much (It might grow on me)
- When I tried them both on at the AD The airwolf looks a lot thicker to me (although the dimensions do not bear this out), it just didnt look as well proportioned.
- The bracelet (I know that can be changed) just looks better with the brushed center contrasting with the polished on the B-1. The Airwolf just looked a bit too shiney for me.

All of the above are my thoughts and I am sure others will feel differently but that was my experience, add to this that the airwolf was considerably more expensive it was a no brainer for me.

Cheers
Lee

Wow, this is an old thread! :) Until today it hadn't been looked at for almost a year! Nov 2007!

I had that B-1 I bought for about a day, didn't get on with it and then got a refund which went on one of my current collection. Can't remember which!

I find the dial of the Airwolf distracting and quite frankly, a bit juvenile. The solid color dial of the B1 is a more mature classy look in my opinion. Of course, I own a B1, so I'm may be biased here. :)
