Thanks Mickey

There was a watch dealer in east London who picked up the 2005 from a deceased estate. It genuinely is in good nick with sharp lugs, mint unpolished case and not worn much. Lume, bezel all seems really original.

Being short of cash I convinced the guy to take my sub, a TAG 1990s Autavia and some top up cash. First move into Breitling vintage. And don’t regret it. Showed me what a history Breitling comes from -

New to the forums and pretty new to the whole watch thing after finally giving it a chance. Never knew how much fun this hobby would be and how much I do appreciate a piece of art on my wrist.

I put my deposit down on the SO57 LE and can’t wait to get it. I can’t say exactly what I look for in watches- something different that speaks to me and stands out from the rest, being a diver I also like dive watches. I currently am wearing my Tudor P01 and have a Doxa so my style may not be mainstream but I’m having fun. As for the LE Rainbow I just love the curves and feel of the thin case and the colors speak to my lifestyle, I’m very happy that this will be my first Breitling. I am not knowledgable enough yet to have much opinion on various chronographs and other things people are being passionate about here, but I thought it was a nice launch with some very cool styles.

I can see if you’re looking for something different then that rainbow dial fits the bill.

So, is it confirmed that the rouleaux bracelet does not have a micro-adjustment feature?

Jim, technically not possible without sacrificing the signature “seamless” design of the clasp; we tried.
but the links are thin so it adjusts nicely, flexibility makes it extremely comfortable. try it on.

Thanks, Fred. Gotta say, it looks extremely comfortable, just from the photos!

BTW, Fred -- care to share which particular models you have pre-ordered?

The biggest concern I have with this watch is the bezel, on a number of fronts. For one, it's two-piece construction.

I guess I'm not seeing what you're seeing. To me it, it looks like one-piece construction, with two slots for exchanging the 15 and 45 rider tabs. Am I missing something?

Just saw the story posted on GeorgeSKern on IG for the SO57 in black. Makes me love the design even more, love how the light reflects off the curves and that dial. You really get a sense in how slim and coherent the whole watch is. I think all the color variations on this piece are going to be eye catching and feel good pieces.

I was a little shocked that he released so many variations of the new Chronomat. This is the first time that I come across the company releasing the regular versions(which is already a lot) and LE at the same time. I cannot imagine if I start seeing plenty of them in boutiques and ADs a few mths later.

I've seen this view expressed a few times here, but, I must admit, I have a very different reaction.

In the Schneider era, there used to be many, many versions of the Chronomat. I will admit that I enjoyed visiting the Breitling website and playing with the function that allowed you to mix and match different case materials, dials and straps. It was a blast!

Even though I knew that a new rollout of the Chronomat was coming at some point, it was frustrating to go to the recent website and only see a couple of different options for this model. So, I, for one, am very glad to see the variety of Chronomats that has been introduced in one fell swoop. Honestly, I think the particular choices made as to the dials are really solid. To me, it's a "right-sized" release -- just enough different models to give consumers some great choices.

I don't believe that offering a variety of versions of a particular model inevitably results in flooding the gray market and undercutting the value of the brand. Anyone check out how many versions of the Daytona are available these days?

Regardless of how one may have felt about the offerings of the Schneider era, one of the things I really liked about that period was the spirit of creativity and the willingness to take chances -- even though certain approaches may have backfired at times. Similarly, regardless of how one may feel about the offerings of the Kern era, the recent releases -- complete with Rainbow SOH -- reflect a similar dynamic in my view. For me, that's what has always attracted me to Breitling, and what has set it off from other brands. There will continue to be hits and misses, of course -- but, I welcome what I'm seeing these days.

Take a look at Jomashop or authentic watches, both sites have numerous watches currently being offered on Breitling.com for 40% off. With Joma i stopped counting at 25, Authentic watches you have to click on each offering to see the percentage, too much work! Although Rolex may hay numerous options with respect to Daytona Offerings I know you will no see anything near 40% off. :D :D :D

Guilty as charged...LOL I am so close to pulling the trigger on a Navitimer 8 Chronograph Automatic Chronometer Black M13314101B1X ...at 40% off it' seems a no brainer...I wish it wasn't 23mm lugs though I have so many Breitling 22mm straps sitting around! LOL
