Just out of interest, has any consensus been reached on jointed rubber/ceramic/other-non-metal-material watch... bands? Are they bracelets or are they still straps?

IMO, the difference between strap and bracelet has more to do with the joints/links than the material (despite traditional non-watch 'bracelets' generally not having links, and being made of metal), but I'll be happy to defer to those with greater knowledge of the specialist WIS lingo. ;D

In those particular instances I'd personally go with either "rubber bracelets", or "articulated rubber strap".

As a related point, the thing I dislike more than bracelet/strap confusion (and I'm sorry here Anez, as you've just used it in your post  ), but I hate straps (and definitely bracelets) being called "bands". When people describe an OR as a "rubber band" I immediately think of the 5mm brown rubber bands used to keep wads of bank notes together!

That's okay, man, it's not a word I'd normally use (for the same reasons) but I was trying to avoid saying either bracelet or strap so I wouldn't contaminate responses to my question!

The OR clasp is a great piece of equipment. I wish the clasp on all of my watches worked that well.

The OR clasp reminds me of the clasps Omega uses on its Seamaster and Planet Ocean bracelets, which are excellent. I don't know why Breitling doesn't use the OR clasp on more of its straps and bracelets.

I agree.

I wore one of my Moonies (my good luck watch) to a meeting the other day, which seems to have panned out (paperwork yet to be signed).
The Omega push button clasp is good but not as good as the OR clasp mech.

(some shirt cuffs will not accomodate a B) I know, I should buy different shirts))

Alan,

I'm an executive myself and I like shirts, Jackets and Suits to ALLOW for the LINGS to be a big OFFENSIVE site. I don't want my sleeves of any king covering my LINGS I like them out there where they can be seen, be enjoyed, admired and also cause DISGUST !

This was a new shirt, first time of wear. My wrists are 7 3/4" so some cuffs do not accomodate a Breitling (I know 'get rid of the shirt....').

Somehow I imagined you to be a Rock star.
