Anyone know if the auto has a brushed bracelet? The case looks polished but the bracelet brushed. Fingers crossed it is.

release date?

I was off to buy an avenger gmt tomorow but I'll have to put it off and wait for the colt to compare. Anoying that I'll cop the april 1st price rise is if i go back for the gmt but the colt looks too god to ignore.

That colt auto is extremely nice, that will be a great entry level watch to introduce people to the brand

I'm gonna go out on a limb here with the new Colt auto. I do like it. But let's compare it with the old SOSF.

Both 44mm.
Both ETA movements (probably even the same one??)
Same Bezel.
Dials are very similar (SOSF has round markers and arabics at 6, 9, 12 whereas new colt has rectangular markers and arabic at 12).
Both SS
Both have inner 24 hr track.
Both available in black, blue, white dials
SOSF WR = 2000m/ Colt WR = 200m.

So why would i buy the Colt?

I was just going to say the 44mm makes this a perfect successor to the SOSF (apart from the depth rating). Thus a superfluous watch for SOSF owners, but a great piece of everyone else. (Just a shame Breitling haven't got round to making that 3 hand in-house movement to go in it yet....)

It's very similar to the sf, but that isn't made any more so this is just an option for those who want new. I have a sf do I won't be getting it but I still like the new colt.

I own an SOSF but if i didn't, I'd look at the two of them, compare the WR and the price of a 2012 SOSF second hand and go with that every time!

True for some I guess, but a lot of folks will only ever buy watches brand-new.

Plus to all intents and purposes any WR rating over 200m is pretty irrelevant to 99% of the population, and the lower WR may mean it's thinner than the SOSF, so more of an everyday watch for those of us who wear long sleeve shirts on a daily basis.

Don't get me wrong, I love the SOSF - I've had three of them myself, but I'm no longer an SOSF owner, so this Colt is a real genuine option.

44mm? Well crap for me! Am I missing something or is the only smaller, as in 40-42mm three hand the frigging Galactic!? Yes, I am intentionally excluding the Superoceans.
