CALLING ALL BREITLING GEEKS!!!

Huge dilemma at the moment, I am in market for a good old classic chrono that will serve me well on my daily wear. Don't have enough funds for in house movements collection but I am more than happy to settle down for a good old ETA! BUT!! It's down to these two beauty and don't know what to choose?! What's you guys thoughts?!?!

Avenger II with blue dial. Liking the new bezel and dials details on this year's Avenger II

Superocean Chronograph II. The Rubber injected bezels just a winner to me, plus I can get the color coded Superocean strap to go with it.

I would go with the Avenger II, but I am biased because I'm not a fan of the SuperOcean 2. Nothing wrong with it, I'm just not a fan of the dial colors and the black bezel.

Thanks Matt, not gonna lie, I am leaning toward Avenger II too.

Just a question, both of them are the same calibre 13, is it the case the one model is more durable than the other??

They are both tough watches and imo the only real tech difference between the two is the wr of the SO being greater than the Avenger, although Breitling markets the Avenger line as being built for toughness.

Avenger II all the way.

Although, keep in mind that you if want to get an in-house movement model, you can actually pick up, say a mint conditioned pre-owned B01 Chronomat 44 (if you can get over the bank check font on those bezels) for about same price as a new Avenger II. Personally, I still think the Avenger II looks better though.

Avenger II by a wide margin. But then I'm a huge Avenger series fan.

Thanks for posting the pic of the blue dial version... really looks good!

Cheers

Ross

The mainstream "Breitling Geek" opinion seems to be a 100% clear. In any case I've been thinking I seem to be the only forum participant owning a Superocean Chrono II :) I own it the Abyss White color variation. I chose the white version because it didn't seem so fancy and I am really happy with it! A forum search will reveal some pictures I have posted in some other threads.

I sure had my hands on an Avenger II lately and I certainly would like to buy one, although not with the blue dial. One big pro for me is the luminous dot on the bezel. On the other side Iwouldn't want to miss the screw-down pushers of the SOCII; and yes, it has a higher WR rating (500 meters).

In any case you should go for the one YOU like best, regardless of the mainstream opinion.
