Breitling have just introduced an updated Frecce Tricolori piece to commemorate the original FC Chronomat from the 90's! This one is limited to 1000 pieces and of course utilizes the B01 caliber for its engine. Factory photo below...
Best,
Ron

The first thing I noticed was the strap it's on. I wonder if that's a new diver option.

Definitely looks like the DPII with lettering, nice touch and it also looks like the bezel font has been blackened. I like the idea of the watch given the history, but not for me.

I like the black numbers on the bezel, it really gives the bezel a nice look. I also like the strap but the dial is not for me at all.

Now, you see I actually really like the dial on that one! IMO that's one of the best looking Chronomat 01's to date. If the bezel numerals really are black (and not just a trick of the light) I'd have to see a few more non-studio photos of it before making up my opinion. If only they could've ditched the Buck font, then that watch could be an absolute must have for me.... but even so, I really do like it.

things are looking up a bit, really; the latest LEs are quite impressive, white Navi 01, blue Navi 01, now this Chronomat - not my kind of a Breitling classic, but a very, very nice piece; respect for heritage and history, even pride ? what happened to Hank ?

I really hope Breitling is bringing back the lettering. From the pic that DP II looks spectacular with it!

I just don't like the tri-color logo at 12 o'clock. The white subs and red hands are nice. Overall I think it's a winner. I'm warming to the bezel font now especially if the numbers are black as they appear.

That bezel font is never going to grow on me. I find it less offensive now because familiarity breeds indifference, but never see myself buying one - it just seems so dated to me.

The dial works for me especially with the logo being raised, and I like the caseback mirroring the original Frecce Tricolori.

I thought the colored bezel was a trick of lighting but sure as sh*t it is blackened. A nice touch IMO, which I would bet will make its way to the non-LE models soon enough. Lets just hope the designers don't go all wild with the color like in the past.

I was never a fan of the original "hershey" strap, but this option looks a bit more subtle, and is an interesting option with the clasp that is so great.

All in all I really like this whole setup with or without the Tricolori logo.

The bezel features black rubber in crusted numerals.
