I almost didn't dare post this on here after the slating that Breitling have received over some of their recent design decisions. Yet again they seem to have lost the plot somewhat.

This is the invites for ADs to attend this year's BaselWorld. I will happily confess to having some of the previous offerings (usually very cool).

This is meant to represent a plate of asparagus. I've not yet determined why.

Asparagus were famous during the renaissance period, maybe this will be breitling's renaissance.

It takes 3 years for an asparagus to be harvested, the B01 movement is in its 3rd year, maybe this year it will sprout into a lot more models.

That's a cool plate with the flags of the 26 Swiss cantons. My home canton's flag is just to the right of your finger.

My AD just gave me theirs yesterday...I wasn't sure what to make of it but I guess it's a cool collector piece. :-)

Why?

I can't imagine the versions that got rejected.

Wonder why they went with white asparagus. Hmmm. I prefer green asparagus wrapped in prosciutto and drizzled with a balsamic reduction..mmmmmmm

What an odd company they've turned into.

Why not use green for asparagus, they look like alien tentacles.

Strange to find something I agree with Serge on (who would have thought the way to serve asparagus)
