...... and just as we thought, it's flamin' MASSIVE! It really is very similarly sized to the SA, although not quite as thick. Still pretty damn thick though. Oh and it's price is pretty similarly huge too - £7440 GBP on the bracelet (which is $12,300 USD at the current exchange rate)! Not one for me unfortunately, due to both the size and the price.

The new Navi 1461 was in too..... priced at £7380 GBP which is again a frankly crazy price, especially considering it's not in-house. But it's a fantastic looking piece all the same. Just a shame about the price.......

I guess I'll be holding out for a B04 equiped Navi World instead, but god knows what the price of that will be.

I held that GMT a couple weeks ago. I may as well fasten straps to a bowling ball as wear that beast. The price about knocked me off my feet.

I would. For the RIGHT Breitling. In house movement, impeccable case/bezel design that screamed class at me, dial accoutrements consistent with that price range. Yes, I would. But there is one very huge problem - not a single current model comes close to meeting those crtieria for me. If the Chronomat 04 GMT was $7,000 and 43mms, it still wouldn't meet my criteria as I find the styling - IMHO - not acceptable.

While I was floored by the 2011 Navi 01, seeing in the metal the SO44, new CSO, Chronomat 41, Flying Fish, and GMT 04 all left me cold regardless of the price tag.

So yeah, I would have no problem spending 10 for a Ling done worthy of a price tag of 10 - that would be excellent guts, excellent structure, and excellent finish. Breitling proved to me they can do that with the Navi 01. And that makes me sadder still at the rest of the higher priced offerings.

Did Breitling put you on their payroll???? Your sudden change of heart on the B01 movement is shocking. Someone has gotten to you :!: :!:

I never dissed the B01, rather the Crackerjacks' styling of the models relative to price. I still feel that way. My point is simple - having seen, held, purchased, and worn the Navi 01, it knocked my socks off. Having owned many 8k+ watches, I can easily put this model in that class and even some I have owned at 10k+. So this experience if anything strengthens my disdain for what Breitling is doing with the bulk of their lineup - I absolutely 100% without any reservations DESPISE the styling cues of most of what Breitling offers. They look cheap and are priced in the stratosphere. It takes insides plus outside to make a watch worth what so many Lings cost now. Based on what I've seen in the metal, there is only one that fits the price. So I bought it. There is not another model in the lineup I would consider owning.

Im curious to try the new GMT. I have the SS SeaWolf on now which is 45.4 and I think it is maxing out case diameter for my wrist. At first I hated the new font on the bezels but it is slowly (VERY slowly) starting to grow on me. I'm not sure if I will ever pull the trigger on any with the new font models though. I like the traditional bezels and the understated aggression still.
