Well, hopefully looking to buy one, preferably on steel and white face if I can let the 312 go, so here's a couple of questions.

1. Whats the RRP on this watch(can't find an updated pricelist)?
2. I'm confused on colours, is the 'white' face 'white' as you see in numerous images or is it actually 'silver'?
3. Anyone willing to sell? :D

Cheers

Well, I can help you out on 1 out of 3

1. Not sure on updated pricing.
2. Having owned a white dial World, the dial is indeed white.
3. Sorry, already sold mine.

Thanks Sparwood for your answer, 1 out of 3 is a poor effort but i'll take it! :D Seriously thanks.

Another question, I'm obviously pretty thick!

Okay so I definently now know the face of this watch is 'white' but could someone explain further,

1 Is the 'white' face World actually known as or termed 'silver'.
2 Can you actually get a World with a 'silver' face.

Sorry about this lads but apparently and obviously I'm pretty uneducated on what I would call a 'grail' watch for me. One that I've been wanting for quite a few years now.

Thanks for your time.

Andrew

With all due respect to Sparwood, I'd disagree that the World dial is truly white. It's certainly not white in the same way that a white dial SA's dial is white. I'd say the "white" dial Navi World is more like a very light ivory/silver sort of colour - lighter than the "white" dial SOF, but definitely not a pure white.

I can't do a side by side comparison as I've sold my white SA, but here's an old picture of it, and notice how the white date wheel (which was in the middle of changing during this picture) is the same colour as the dial (i.e. pure white) -

Image

And here's my Navi World. I realise the pictures could quite easily be lit differently, but you just need to look at the Navi World's date window (which again is white) compared to the rest of the dial (which isn't pure white).

Image

As for your other questions - not a clue of the latest list price I'm afraid, and no I'm not selling mine (yet)!

Thanks for clearing that up Driver8. I can quite clearly see the difference now but don't think its something that would stop me buying if I can find the correct deal.

Cheers

I always considered it white. In my opinion SILVER is the color of the steel case..not the dial.

Here is an old photo of my old Breitlings (all are gone) You can see the dials in the same lighting coditions as your SOHC125

Looks like opinions vary on this. I still maintain that the SA has what I consider to be a pure white dial, whereas the Navi World is definitely an off-white in comparison. Incidentally, Breitling call the Navi World colour "silver" on their website configurator, but IMO it's more ivory. If you put a white SA next to a "white/silver" Navi World you will see a definite difference.

Since you already have a SOHC 125, you can see in these photos how close they are.

Serge is the Navi World similar dial color to the CSO that you and I have? If so, I consider that more of a silver... Just my thoughts..

I felt that the Navi World was more white than our CSO. The CSO definitely has more of a silver tint to it. The SOHC was super white, the Navi World had a touch more ivory, but just a slight touch. One thing I always noticed aobut the world was that the slide rule was a brighter whiter than the dial...the dial does has a slighty ivory tone to it. I would not consider it silver even if the Breitling website calls it silver.

I honestly think the CSO is more white than silver....maybe I am just color blind.

Yes....but it isn't sliver like the Steelfish!

I have owned a Navi World, SA and still have a "white" Steelfish. For me the SA is brilliant white, the World is close but a tad leaning into the off white or slightly silvered white and the Steelfish isn't white at all. Its more of a bleached silver. It looks white at a glance but after studying it and comparing to a sheet of paper.... you quickly realize its NOT "white".

Thanks Mfserge and the rest of you for the feedback, much appreciated.

Mfserge, the face of the SOHC is a definate 'silver', thats a given. I would say looking at the two together that the World is definently not 'white' but definently nearer to 'white' than the SOHC is. Did u all understand that? I think I just confused myself! :D

Cheers

I totally agree with Driver8 and Bronco, the SA is definently a 'brilliant white', no doubt about that. I love white faces! :D

Cheers

I definitely need to get my eyes checked because the SOHC looked bright white to me. Silver is the color on the right below.....right?
