Hi guys,

Sorry I've been so quiet lately, uni has been so busy!

I found a nice little video here, someone's taken the back off of his BB for us.

Oh, and I have to keep a blog as part of my course; I'd love to know what you all think of it! I'm working out a way to talk about watches in there...

The tick marks at 14,16,29,31,44,46 shouldn't be shortened.
The date window is too large as well.

Bloody hell, sharp eyes! I guess that means to movement is Mickey Mouse as well? And it looked so pretty...

Not quite certain of the origins of it. I doubt Mickey Mouse. He seems like a respectable sort of chap, but I wouldn't put it past that sneaky Elmer Fudd.

BTW your blogs are some enjoyable reading. Good Work.

Aw thanks! I do try. It counts towards my degree, so there are a lot of lecture notes in there which may or may not be interesting to people. Stay tuned to find out why journalism is like a fine watch!

If the front is waterproof with sapphire then I'm pretty sure the back would be too

It's harder on flat sapphire vs. cambered, but not that big a deal - seals are still the weak point.

The lack of display backs is a common complaint on Breitlings.

A display back is the one thing I think my BB is missing. I've toyed with the idea of getting one made, but I'm just worried about something going wrong, warranty invalidated, insurance not paying etc. If someone can tell me of a Breitling-approved way of getting it done, I'll either make sweet love to them or buy them a beer.

There are no current Breitlings with DBs and no way to get a Breitling approved DB.

There used to be a guy in Germany that did aftermarket (not sure if he still does), but I don't know what Breitling would do during servicing - they may well restore it to original.
