Hi guys, quick Q.how easy is it buying from USA .the pound is looking a bit better and some of the guys are selling some great stuff.(especially marks so chrono,v cool)but do you get stung for customs duty.I trust the sellers to send them ,no probs there,but will customs sour the deal.

As with any internet purchase, there's always a risk if you don't know the seller but it's no different from buying from a UK seller. I've bought things from across the globe and the only ones who didn't deliver were from the UK!

Off the top of my head, you'll have to pay 4% duty + 15% vat + handling fee so add about 20% to US prices. Watch the postal cost as well as insured post can be expensive.

I read somewhere that the pound is expected to weaken again from next month and vat is going up to 17.5% on 1/1/10 so bear this in mind.
