I think it's more a matter of what the AD (or BUSA in my case) has in stock. My Seawolf was new old stock (I haven't checked the exact date but they stopped making them in 2008 as far as I know) and it came in the new box. The Blackbird I got a few weeks prior from George also came from BUSA and is a more recent production yet came in the "older" style box. George also mentioned that he had one other customer pick up a watch the day I was there for the Seawolf and that customer got a new box too. I would guess within a few months the supply of older boxes will run dry and everything will be in the new ones.

PS: I've found titanium is quite nice when it's 90+ degrees out and very humid!
