Within a years time I'll be gettin another breitling. I narrowed it down to 2 watches. The superocean or the super avenger. I truly like them both. The superocean has the 24 hour dial, 1500 meter water resistence and all around a good watch (as an everyday beater). The super avenger because its big, it's classy (with the indexes imo) and if I get it, I'll get it with a diamond bezel. I dont care for the cronograph on the SA. And its only 300 meters water resistance. I don't know which to choose. They both have their own function. Any advice would be appriciated.

These two watches are as equally distinct as they are different. The SA is HUGE compared to the SO. If you don't care for the chrono, I cannot see why you would care for the weight. If weight is an issue, perhaps you should consider a Seawolf; none of the chrono and all of the weight! Also, the Steelfish is a hefty watch. IMO year is a LONG time to look for a new B. It usually happens a whole lot quicker. It can be like the infinite itch to which there is only one scratch.

Good Luck.

They are indeed two very different watches.

When you say the SO have a 24h dial, you must mean that it also have 13-24 painted on it, but it's not a true 24h dial as one cycle still will be 12 hours.

Do you intent do go deep water diving with your watch? If not, I can't see how 1500m or 300m would make a difference. Have you tried them on in person? As their wrist appearance is so very different I'd suggest that as a first step if you haven't done that already. Also, if you don't want the chronograph function, the AS might be a better solution than the SA.

Well I would like to take a shower and swim with it. The 13-24 on the dial would help me at work since we use 24 hour time. Though the presence of a SA is quite noticeable with its thickness and size .Out of curiosty what is price for a SA with factory made diamond bezel??

Used to be $13,110 on Pro II and I think that it's gone up once more since then - so guess close to $14k.

:wowzers :wowzers :wowzers

well that shot down my dreams. Looks like I'll get neither since the 13-24 hours on the SO dial dont luminate and the factory made diamond bezel is outside my price range. I might as well put that money as a down payment on a house

Funny thing is that the SS Seawolf weighs more than the Super Avenger by about 8 grams. If you have your heart set on a chrono go for the SA, if you are looking for something more versatile go for the Seawolf. My SA gerts amlost zero wrist time since I added the SS Seawolf to the collection . The fact that I own 2 of them, speaks volumes about how amazing I think the piece is!

how could a SA with diamond bezel be in your list if you didn't even inquire about the price first?
