Hi All,

I'm new here, but I've been viewing most of the posts over the last few months.

I just called Breitling in London to ask about registering my new Super Avenger purchase. The loady in London was very helpful, and told me to ring their Customer Service number (01892 553 620).

Whe I spoke to the lady, she said that the only watch they will register is the Breitling Emergency, my guess is that they can chase you if you accidently release the transmitter!! She aslo said that the only place that will register a new purchase of Breitlings is in the US..which leads me to my other question, Freebies??? Err, she said, we dont send any marketing freebies from the UK.....

I have a brother who is a Breitling fan living in California, and he gets all the freebies you can name....pens, hats, chocolates...etc..

So can anybody tell me why the US gets such preference?? We spend just as much they do right?

So if anyone from Breitling UK is reading this, please SORT IT OUT!!! After 3 Breitling watches, can I at least have a hat???

Rant Over...

ps: I love the Super Avenger...
I also have the Colt, and Aeorspace - Limited Edition (Patrouille de France)

I emailed BUK in the last few days to ask for a Lanyard/VIP Pass from RIAT 2009 for my 6 year old Son who collects lanyards and key rings, I was told they don't have any and have capped their ordering of promotional/marketing items from Switzerland.

So given the fact that the prices in the UK have risen by 40% in the last 12 months and they've reduced their ordering in, means that if you were ever lucky enough to get anything in the past it's reduced to zero now.

BUK has always been a bit hit or miss when it comes to 'freebies' some people on the forums seem to receive stuff so I've come to the conclusion it's down to who you are and at what precise moment of the day you contact them!!

It maybe that I'm just on their blacklist for moaning in the past about BUK not having a registration scheme or rewarding customer loyalty!

Mind you, I can't complain about Breitling SA's generosity towards a few of us who had a get together a while back via another 'place'.

Stef

Thanks guys,
I think I might ask my brother to register the watches for me in the US, and then send me the goodies if he ever gets them sent...

On that note, as much as I love Breitlings, it might be time to look at other watches... IWC have nice range...maybe next year..

I think you just have to get to know someone at BUK to get goodies that’s how I did it and got a large bag a few months ago, I don’t want to give you names as its unfair for me to ask my friend to help everyone out but good luck and I can tell you for a fact that BUSA & BUK read these forums although they are not allowed to post.

Keep trying and above all be nice it’s the only way you will get anything shouting and complaining will not get you anywhere. :lingsrock:

Incidentally my friend did say they won’t register your Breitling to you if you call etc but if it goes in for any reason your details will be updated to match, By the way there is nothing to stop you emailing BUK to check on the history of the watch you own it’s a good way of making friends with someone there
!!!! :lingsrock:

LOL, I'm always polite when I email in, always thank them for prompt return of my watches if they have to go in, always thank them for taking the time to reply on general enquiries..............................................

I must say though that the Service Department is better than the Sales/Customer Service, sorry guys and girls!

Stef

I wouldn't mind the details PM'd please, as I generally like to try and deal with one person, I have a contact in the service dept who's always been very helpful, but not in the other areas.

Regards

Stef
