Hello Everyone,

I have just ordered a Bentley GT Racing from a Canadian AD here in Toronto, and speaking with the salesperson (who I've purchased my first Breitling from as well), they've informed me about Breitling increasing their MSRP by approximately 15%. He informed me that Rolex did this last month, and Breitling will be following suit effective the beginning of August.

Has anyone heard about this MSRP increase, or was the sales person just trying to make his sales pitch so that I'd seal the deal on my upcoming watch?

Any insight is appreciated! If this is true, then I definitely got a good price on my GT-Racing :lingsrock:

Regards,
Austin

I know the Swiss live in some kind of isolated bubble of wealth, but another increase  We've already had 2 substantial ones here in the UK

Whoever authorises that needs a good, hard punch square in the face

Another one!??! At the rate these are going, the price is going to double in the space of a year or so!

I must be honest I was shocked the other day when I saw the current price of the Navi World of the bracelet - just shy of £5000 GBP! That's not far off a £1500 increase on what I bought my current World for around 18 months ago.

£5K is a LOT of money to spend on what is essentially a 7750 equiped piece (albeit with a GMT module). I honestly dread to think how expensive a B01 equiped Navi is going to come it at when it eventually arrives.

Breitling prices in Canada have already gone up (May). It's possible that the AD is letting you have it at pre-increase pricing if you buy before August 1st.

hey everyone,

OK, i got some more information regarding the price increase; I spoke to two AD's to confirm this information.
Effective August 1st, 2009, all 2008 models (or older i guess) will be getting a 13-15% price hike (This may only be for Canadian AD's)

However, any new models which came out March 2009 and onwards (i.e. Super Avenger Stencil Dial) will not be affected by the price hike.

Hope this helps; better get those purchases quick! :)

Austin

This is NOT a second Canadian price hike.

It's the hike that was announced in May becoming effective August 1st - I have confirmed.

Driver8,

That $5000 GBP works out to something like $8900 Canadian that is absolutely INSANE!!! I would love to hear the reasoning behind such a drastic price difference.

It would be great to have a look at.

THanks
