I'm ready to buy, seems like a good time.

I have been looking at Breitling for some time now (currently have TAG-sorry). I'm trying to go through the models to see the differences - etc. There are so many choices, it is confusing.

- Any advice on places to look to help with the features/specs of the various models?

My preference is a thin, smaller diameter watch. As a professional SCUBA instructor I live in and around salt-water.

Go to any authorized Dealer and view a catalogue, they may even give you one. It contains all the models , specs and combinations of straps and bracelets. As you are a diver check out the Aeromarine line. This could meet your needs. And remember one Breitling leads to another. You'll see.

You can start your research at your desk. This site has specs of all the models listed here http://www.breitlingsource.com/breitling_model_categories.shtml. As well as the global http://www.breitling.com, have a look at the Japanese site http://www.breitling.co.jp/fitting/ which allows you to mix and match dials, straps etc. When you have an idea which you are leaning towards, visit your local dealer, grab a catalogue (which Breitling call a Chronolog) and try a few on for size.

Breitling don't really do small watches but SuperOcean is one of their more modest offerings and with 5000' depth rating, ideal for your profession.

Thin and small are not words you normally associate with a diver watch, especailly in the Aeromarine range. But are you going to wear you Breitling while diving?

Titanium would be a good choice, the logical option is the older Ti Seawolf, but then its a big chunky watch. The current Colt could be a good 'smaller' choice at around 41mm dia. It wears very comfortably. I have mine on a diver pro strap.

I'd say don't be too put off by the case dimensions until you try them on

Those two words rarely describe a diver's watch OR a Ling.

Have you looked at the Cockpit / Chrono Cockpit?

They are at the smaller end of the Breitling range, and while the Chrono Cockpit only has 100 metres water resistance the Cockpit has 300 metres.
