my top tip, either remove watch while in bed with a girl with a diamond ring or make her remove the ring, diamond trumps sapphire and AR

Nice "Top Tip" Alex!

I'm fine on both counts - firstly I always take my watch off in bed, and secondly I'm WAY too mean to buy my g/f a diamond ring!

Or, perhaps, it simply needs to be earned more aggressively!

  Hmmmm, that's NOT something I'd risk mentioning to my g/f! I LIKE not having to sleep in the shed!

Never going to earn those rocks with you in the shed! UNLESS you are in to that sort of thing. 8)

I've scratched Sapphire crystal before, but not on my Breitlings. I do have a small amount of AR coating scratches on one of my Breitlings.

I have two small scratches... not very visible though. And they where allready there when I bought it. (pre owned) Dosen´t disturb me at all. But then I have like a small small dot (don´t know if it´s on the inside of the crystal or on the outside) mabye the AR coating is chipped or something or mabye some residue from water on the inside....... well...that does infact disturb me.....

Cheers!

No to both, but both of my Lings are only 1+ months old. Good to hear the lack of scratches from others here as well, though. That's EXACTLY why I stopped re-buying the same consumer-grade Citizen watches over and over. I was tired of getting big scratches and chips in the crystal.

Now... I'm accumulating all sorts of surface scratches in the polished SS on my daily wearer Airwolf. Don't look like anything that some Cape Cods can't take out, but geez... the thing's a magnet.

Scratched the AR coating on my SA (now traded); it was so tiny, but it bothered me like heck, so I had it sent to the
"Breitling Center" in Toronto and had it replaced....

It cost me 225Ca$....I blame it on my wife's diamond.....

No to both. I wear my B-1 daily in a bearing factory.
