Maybe this has been asked before, but I was wondering if any Emergency owners have ever had to engage the transmitter and if so, what was the outcome? Who responded, what was the time frame, were you pleased with it's performance. Tell us your story, if possible.

Thanks.

I very much doubt that you'll get personal experience. I believe that there have been around 12 - 15 rescues using the Emergency / Emergency Mission, although the 'lives saved' claim is less because they weren't all considered life threatening.

The response time wouldn't be any different than any other ELT that was picked up by ground monitoring - satellite may be different, but the signal isn't strong enough for satellite pick up (and satellite monitoring of this frequency is no longer happening).
