It's come down to this, either I go with the Chronomat or the Blackbird next week. I'm caught in the middle I love both of them. Looking for any comment that might help me in my final decision. Thanks!

You really can't go wrong with either one. Try them on first. Whichever 'sings' to you is the one to choose. Here is mine.

Go with the new Chronomat and get the new in-house B01 movement. :thumbsup:

:yeahthat

If it is between the older Chronomat and Blackbird, then I would say definitely the Blackbird. Now that I think about it, I am not sure what is going to happen with the Blackbird now the new Chronomat is being produced. I think there were a couple of posts about it, including mine, but I don't think anyone ever really found out.
Either way, I don't think you can go wrong with the Blackbird.
Cheers,
Carl

What an amazing photo of the Blackbird! That looks amazing on the Ocean Racer. I mostly only like the OR on the Aeromarine models, but in this case I must make an exception!
Cheers,
Carl

I would personally go for the Blackbird (Fully polished) purely due to the fact the faceted links on the pilot make it that little bit different and individual, also the big date feature is nice - but having now seen it on the ocean racer - I'd suggest buying it with both pilot and OR

I bought a fully-polished Blackbird about 6 weeks ago from a UK dealer and just love it. I've had lots of great comments about the strap initially and of course the dial and double-dial big date. I prefer the same colour sub-dials, if you want the contrast I guess you go for the Chronomat. The Blackbird is a little more expensive but then again, to me, it is a little more exclusive.

I posted a while back that the engraving on the back of my watch is different to that shown on the website (and earlier Blackbirds I've seen). Insted of 'BLACKBIRD' engraved across the back in large lettering, mine has the following;

'Chronographe BLACKBIRD Automatic 300m'
'Edition Speciale Manufacture en Suisse'

All adds to the feeling that you're wearing something special on your wrist.

Yes, I have seen a picture of that in a post somewhere. Quite different.
