I am going to purchase my first B'ling on Saturday! yipeee :D

I have narrowed it down to the Avenger Skyland or SA with black face.

I have been told to purchase it with the bracelet as it is the most expensive to purchase seperately but i am wanting a black crocodile strap too. Is this the best/cheapest way to do it? Also what sort of price is the croc strap?

How are the straps closed? Do the leather straps come with the safety clasp as per the bracelets?

Thanks for the help in advance :D

The best way is to order everything at once as one package and get the same discount on all items. If that's not possible, it is best to do as you suggested - to get the bracelet with the watch and later add the croco strap.

I can't help you with the price as I don't have it in my mind, but quite often you see guys in the "buy and sell" section selling nearly new straps on deployants for $350 - $450.

The strap is either closed with a tang buckle (a pin type buckle) or with a deployant clasp (similar to the closing mechanism on the bracelet). The tang buckle is much cheaper than the deployant. However, the deployant saves a lot of lifetime for the strap with much less wear. Different people find different choices most comfortable but personally I prefer the deployant.

Good luck with your purchase!

There isn't a premium for SS Pro 2. It's actually not the most expensive way to buy it either. From an MSRP standpoint the croc with deployant is 4220 more than the SS. Either way you go, ask for a discount for any additional straps AS WELL AS the watch ;)

Oops, sorry (but good to know that) about the price difference. And as I said, it's best to get it all as a discounted package. ;)
