Thanks for that Boney! Just another 17 million medical terms to go and I'll be applying for a doctorate myself!

With your assistance I should qualify as Dr Driver by 2085!

I was thinking the "Drive Doctor" or even better "Doctor 8".

My only problem is that my AD does not have a Seawolf, perhaps I shall check back in a couple of weeks to see if they have one.

Does the chronograph make the Super Avenger any less tough? I understand that the Seawolf is more robust, but I do not dive, nor will I go around substituting my watch as a framing hammer so its amount of toughness is all relative I guess.

I really do not know what it was about the SA, but when I tried it on there was just something, and I also think it is one of the nicest watch designs I have seen in a while. I think I want to like the Seawolf more than the SA, but I am having a hard time doing so, especially with the way the new version looks, at least in photographs, but I have heard many people on the forums who own one say how it truly is a work of art. I really need to see if I can find one to look at in person, because it is probably the perfect watch for me.

On the Skyland, I tried that on at my AD, and while it is a very nice watch, it did not seem like it was for me, however odd that sounds as it is a quasi-SA and Seawolf.

Under normal use, the chrono shouldnt make the SA any less tough than a non-chrono. Both the SA and the Seawolf are very tough watches.

After lusting over and finally attaining an SA, I thought it was going to be my favourite Breitling of all time. Boy was I wrong, upon handling the new SS SeaWolf, I knew the love affair with the SA was over. Don't get me wrong, I still like the SA but If I had to choose, it would be the new SeaWolf. After owning quite a few Breitling's both chrono and non chrono, I have realized that I am partial to simple, thick dive watches.

Thanks for the help everyone.

I think I am going to get the Seawolf as I have yet to hear anything but positive reviews. I was wondering if anyone has some more pictures of the new SS version, searching the internet yields a measly amount.

Thanks

As a quick aside, I have been reading that the Avenger Skyland is especially shock-proof. What does this mean entirely, is it more shock resistant than the other Avenger series? If so, how shock proof, does anyone know if they rate it in G's or something of that nature, or is it just some advertising gimmick?

All of the Aeromarine cases are constructed in essentially the same way. It is a strong construction, and the Breitling 13 is a rugged movement, but the AS is no better than any of the other Avenger.
