Depends where you live. I am in the US and on my homeowners I have a rider and it can list under jewelry. Covers it no matter where I am. The UK gents speak of a private company that I am sure Driver8 and the rest will provide shortly. :)

Mine are listed on my home contents policy. I pay an extra premium and they're covered outside my home too.

That reminds me - I need to tell the insurance company about the IWC...

There have been a lot of threads on this. Bottom line is that generally homeowner's policies will cover them, it depends on the company as to how they handle it and what they will charge.

OK- here's the scoop--put your watch under personal articles, it is usually one to two % of value. It is all risk-which means if it falls off your wrist in the middle of the ocean or in the sky, the insurance company(state farm) will write you a check for the value. You may need to have an umbrella policy on your home, which covers liabilities around your home and vehicle.....and there is no homeowners deductible which can be a large sum for an expensive house...
