Thanks for all your help and info guys in helping me make the decision.
Brought from AD for £2700 and loving the weight and the feel of the black/silver dials BCO with the black croc strap.
I have a few questions:
1. How often do I wind it?..as I only use it on weekends.
2. When the 3rd hand (stopwatch) goes round the clock the top totalizer does move a minute but do you find it hard to identify what mark is 2, 3 or 4, 6, 7, 8..etc
3. I was going to use my Existing cartier spray cleaning kit to keep it clean; spray, cloth, brush..is this advisable?
4. I was told the last two digits on the model number stamp at the rear of the case is the make of the watch(my stamp is A13356). where do they get the last two numbers from to identify it as an evolution? In the UK breitling Chronolog book my BC0 is 743.

As far as winding it, you should have a 40 hour power reserve. When you first got it, did you wind it about forty turns? If not, You'll want to do so. Pick it up and manually wind it every other day, or purchase a winder. They are very handy.

The Chrono features are small, but you'll get used to reading it when it is in use.

Cleaning is a breeze, used a mild soap and a soft bristle brush for the links. The kit you have should do fine.

As far as the numbers on the caseback, I haven't the slightest clue. You may go to the main page of the site and look it up.

That is correct, Skill. Unless you don't mind resetting the watch again after the week is over.

The number:

A - Steel case
B - Steel case with yellowgold riders
C - Steel case with redgold
D - Steel case with yellowgold bezel
E - Titanium case

P - Steel case with platinum bezel

next two digits tell the movement
13 - Breitling Cal. 13 meaning valjoux 7750

next digit:
0 - non chronometer (exception old gold watches, which where all chronometers except the watches of the Montbrillant collection)
3 - chronometer

Next two digits
56 Case number (general watch type)
where 5 means Chronomat series, and 6 means more or less the 6th version

50 Chronomat
55 Chrosswind
56 Chronomat Evolution
58 Chrono Cockpit
59 Blackbird

to complete the numbering system, there are more digits, not engraved on the back:
the next two show, how the polishing of the watch is done:

10 Case and bezel matt
11 Case polished, bezel matt
12 Case and bezel polished
53 Bezel with diamonds

then a slash is following

the next 4 digits are the dial
B719 for black whith silvercolored subdials and index
B721 for black whith silvercolored subdials and aviatic
B722 for anthrait with silvercolored subdials aviatic
C645 for blue with silvercolored sudials index

then comes a slash and the bandnumber
2PSX
where 2 stands for 22mm bandwith 0= 20mm
P stands for Pilot
and S for all steel
and X for polished


743 is just a counting number in the Chronolog. In the next years Chornolog, the same watch can have a completely different number.

I have two Breitlings and wear them alternately. I generally manually wind them to make sure they're up to speed. The number of turns you need depends on how much you wear it. When winding, listen closely for a couple of clicks, you'll be fully wound then. I believe the sound is the slip mechanism that prevents overwinding. According to a Breguet site, it's recommended to wind all watches (and more importantly, set them) in the morning. I presume this is to ensure you don't damage the date mechanism. Hope this helps.
