my navitimer world has arrived, silver dial! absolutely stunning, will get around to posting pics, poor quality i fear, but will anyway.

the time on it when the power reserve ran out was 2,not sure if it was am or pm, i have since meddled around with the date & time cos i was too anxious to see it working immediately, despite being told not to on this forum. However the date seems to be functioning as it should as is the time,is it possible i may have damaged the mechanism even tho it seems to be functioning ok now?will i repent it later?i will OBV. not make the mistake again.

Also someone mentioned that u should only change the time when the watch is not working,so that means only when the power reserve runs out??

the second time zone seems to be functioning ok,however i thinki can only set it on the hour,it jumps to the closest hour if i leave the arrow pointed in the middle of the hour, just as i push the crown back in.

thanks guys!

Kaje, congrats on your new purchase, and no you shouldn't have damaged the watch by playing with setting it. Just avoid setting the quick-set date between 8pm and 3am. (What I do is set the date with the time at 6 o'clock till the date of yesterday, and then I'll go around with the hands to see when the date jumps, so I know that's am, and from there set the right time to am or pm) Before you start wearing it you should wind it manually about 40 times, so the mainspring gets tightly wound to get maximum power reserve.
The reason why the second time zone only changes per hour, is because the minutes are the same everywhere in the world, it's only the hours that differ....
Hope this answers your questions!

Have a nice day!
Vanessa

Welcome to the club!

I own a Navi-World with the silver dial too! I must say it looks closer to a pearl white than silver.

I hope you enjoy yours as much as I enjoy mine.
