My partner encourages me to get the black steel watch citing that it is hard to come by... i am buying it at 3425 euro. Is that a good price to buy? How rare have the skyland avenger 2000pcs version become? I went to my airport DFS yesterday to try on the regular version and i simply like the size of the watch. Jus wondered how come i never looked at this brand before. As much i love the BS, the size of the watch is really sizable and the likelyhood of it getting scratched is much higher than the AS version. I am currently wearing a PAM88 and i already got a few light scratches on it.. sigh.. but REAL MEN WEARS BLACK! And i like this BS more than the IWC topgun version of BS!!!!

The AS Balcksteel was only a run of 2,000, rather than 3,000 and they were readily available at ADs until around April of this year - after that ADs still had them but you had to search a bit more. They are still fairly easy to find on the secondary market.

I suspect that the SA will be a similar story - the watch already has a following (unlike the then new AS), but it is a larger production run.

Is 3000 consider high production? My local retailers in Singapore did not see much of the AS blacksteel.. one per shop and snapped up above retail price.

Enquired about the SA BS and was quoted US$5700 (No discount cos limited).. and no indication whether my AD can get any allocations...

Not really. It's fairly high for a Limited Edition - most (but not all) seem to be in the hundreds, going up to 1000. But 3000 is still tiny compared to the number of non-limited edition models that are produced.
