I don't think the question regarding the CSO is if it is a good value. All breitlings are great values because they are truely quality timepieces. This is not an entry level watch either. Seeing as the retail cost of around $4100, this is by no means a cheap watch. I have had a black faced CSO for 2 years and absolutely love it. The 42mm size may be small to some, but to most other people not accostomed to seeing breitlings it seems like a large watch.

It really comes down to personal preference. I saw a SA a few months ago and was just mezmorized by the size. I just recently purchased a blue faced SA. As you all know the 48.4 mm face is massive. However, I have become accostomed to it and now almost can not appreciate how large it actually is... that is until I got a comment on how large it is, or I give my CSO some wrist time. Some people look at the SA as the big boy verson of the CSO, and while this is true in some ways the two watches are very distinct and it comes down to preference. I love the SA but it's massive size is very over the top and I would not recommend this as someone's primary watch. I love having the CSO as alternative for instances where the SA may seem too gaudy and flashy. An important thing to remember is that there is only an approximate $400 difference between these watches but the size of the SA overshadows just how great the CSO really is.
