It's a beauty, for sure! :lingsrock:

I'm sure there's a story there, Scooter -- care to share?

I must admit, you made me resort to "The Google" this morning. So is this part of a limited series that was originally offered only in the Japanese market, re-creating the '54 Navi? Lemania movement?

I'm all ears!

Thanks for all the positive comments. Jim, you are correct, it was part of a Limited Edition released only in Japan, "The Navitimer Mecanique 2001, an LE of 400 pieces, designed as a Tribute to the original 1954 Navitimer, based on the Lemania 1873."
WatchFred has additional pictures of another one from the series here that he acquired here, http://forums.watchuseek.com/f15/one-ra ... 93945.html.
I picked mine up off the bay about a year ago, once it arrived my wife saw it and somehow it ended up in her matchbox! Last night she was wearing a watch of mine so I just returned the favor. The watch is absolutely beautiful and is also available with a white dial, but that is somewhat harder to come by with only 200 pieces available, there is one listed on the bay for $7399. The black dialed ones range in price from $2800 -$4000 depending on condition. A dealer in Japan regularly has them available on the bay!
