I have owned the watch for about 6 years and sent it two years ago to a Breitling Authorized Service in south florida for full service. I spent about $650 for full service. 13 months later the watch essentially stopped working. It would only run when the chrono was on, the moment you would click the chrono off everything would stop running. Sent it back to them and they said it needs another rehaul which i paid fully for. The watch was fine for two months and same thing started happening. Since them I have shipped the watch two more times to them and every time it comes back ok and ends up with same results within a couple of months. I am tired of shipping the watch back and forth and paying for insurance and wanted to know if there are any independent places that are reputable that can look and repair this watch. The authorized place in south florida says BUSA wont do my watch because supposedly it has an aftermarket diamond bezel and they wont work on those watches. All inputs would be appreciated.

BUSA in CT will likely take it, they are more relaxed about diamond bzels than they used to be. I would contact them and see what they say, the watch should still be under service warranty and any watchmaker worth his or her salt will be able to fix it.

I just contacted the Hangar 7, CT number and the lady said she cant tell me for sure and "most likely" they have to return the car to its original state before sending it back and return my bezel separately because they cant be responsible blah blah. It is really frustrating because the place i sent it to in South Florida say they are an authorized Bentley repair center and essentially after 3-4 times they have had it the watch is worse than it ever was before i sent it in. When i first sent it in there was pretty much nothing wrong with the watch minus falling behind 3-4 min a week. Now, the watch comes to a halt the moment the chorno is turned off, the dates dont line up and jump from number to number. It is a damn disaster. This is where it has been send so many times and i simply just dont have any faith to send it one more time. http://www.breitling-watchrepair.com/

Well I would guess that the issue with losing 3-4 minutes a week (which is a lot) is the same problem with it now stopping. There is either severe dirt or a damaged wheel in the running train which is causing excess friction. That was causing it to 'drag' and is now causing friction that the torque in the mainspring cannot overcome.

JD Watchworks in CA is Breitling authorised with a good reputation if BUSA aren't helping. I'm assuming you don't have the original bezel?

I am sure there may have been an issue in the beginning but you would think after 2-3 complete rehauls by an authorized service center it would have been fixed. The last time, they told me they replaced everything lol and pretty much same thing happened within 3 months. Unfortunately i dont have the original bezel. I had heard and read about Govberg here so thinking of possibly sending it to them.
