Well, I bought myself a new blue Aerospace (my first Breitling) at the end of May, as a combination birthday/first expat job reward. It really is everything they say it is. About a month after I got here, my wife came out to spend a few months with me. Her birthday's in a couple of weeks so "What would you like for your birthday, sweetie?"

"I want a watch exactly like yours."

Classic. Pick your next Breitling and buy her that instead. Then cross your fingers.

I wish that would work, but she does know exactly what she wants. Someday, I'll tell you the story of the $600 Seiko SKX007.

Is there an aerospace for ladies? You know, the one that's at least 30% cheaper because it's more petite!

Bargain for a colt or something like that. Saying one exactly like yours might mean she just wants a Breitling. Or, are you really snookered! Well if she is like my better half then she will be worth it, so go ahead and buy her a chronospace. You won't regret it, but if it's too big on the first try out, opt for a colt.

Wish that I could sympathize, but it is only the beginning...my wife used to wear a Callistino, then sized up to a Chrono Sextant, but decided that it was time for something more fashionably sized, she now wears either a yellow face M1 with the matching yellow UTC, or a Navitimer. Thankfully, she seems to have maxed out on case size for now...

Oh, after 26 years, she is more than worth it. There is, however, no bargaining. She wants a blue Aerospace Evo on the bracelet. Full stop. She's been down the carpal tunnel surgery road, so she loves the light weight of the Ti, and she doesn't want to do the math in her head for the 8 hour time difference between home and here. She loves the blue dial which is "a lot classier in person than in the pictures". And she IS worth it. She puts up with me, mostly. My stated goal of collecting one of each generation of Aerospace got The Look.

What a great problem to have! I'd get her that Evo! :D

Sounds like a pleasant "problem." Hope she enjoys it.
