Okay, you Breitling wizards, I've got one for you. I just bought a Chronospace Blacksteel this week and have a question? What the heck is that valve/button on the 9 o'clock side (on its edge) of the watch where you would expect an escape valve to be? Nowhere in the manual does it describe it nor can I find out on the Internet. Since it's obviously not a dive watch, I can't imagine what this would be.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Rich

Maybe a gear system to move the slide rule?

It's the access port for the gears in the bezel.

That's interesting, since, when the bezel (slide rule) is rotated, there is no heavy ratcheting as does occur with the usual movable bezels. There is, however, a nice and smooth bit of dial tension when rotating. So, maybe, this allows access to lube and/or adjust that bezel tension..

Thanks for the insight about it being an access port.

Yes, but by Breitling only. Just saying in case you have ideas of accessing it yourself!
