I was going to buy an Avenger Skyland as a daily wearer but after trying on the Seawolf, I'm kind of in a dilemma.
Can't really decide on which of the two to go for?

Does anyone have any comparison shots of the two watches to help me decide?

Is it me, or does the Seawolf wear bigger even though they are both 45mm?
I tried them both on and for some reason the Seawolf just looked slight larger on my wrist than the Avenger.

Before I go for the 2012 seawolf, what is the difference with the upcoming seawolf 2?

I have the 2012 verison of the Seawolf and really enjoy it. I prefer 3 handed watches, so I went with the Wolf over the chrono, simply because I don't want to pay the upcharge for the chronograph feature when I'm never going to use it. I can't say how it wears between the 2, but I think the ASW wears larger than 45mm. I remember when I was trying it on my AD had a used Sub and DJ, and I would never buy those over the ASW. The ASW just seems so much more solid, and half the price!

To me, the main difference between the 2012 version and the new version are cosmetic, with the numbers being slightly different and maybe some different text on the dial.

I say go Seawolf, but I might be biased! :lingsrock:

I should say it's really about whether you want a chronograph or not. I can't offer comparison shots as I don't go for chronoes, but I can say the Seawolf wears comfortably on my wrists, and is my favourite Breitling. Good luck with your decision :lingsrock:

I prefer chronos, but it's just a matter of taste. The Seawold probably wears larger because it's thicker.

Very nice shot of the Seawold there.

Is it just the bezel and the lugs that are brushed steel?

I'm biased and I say Seawolf over Chrono. Between a Blackbird and a Wolf, I would have taken both.

The Wolf is a big lump of brushed steel meaning business, and yet remains classy with batons on the dial instead of numbers. It wears heavy, even on leather or rubber straps. Its thick sporty look demands jeans and t-shirt or business casual at a push, definitely no suit with this one. The Sub is more versatile but the Wolf feels stronger and "younger" IMHO. The Wolf is a muscle watch, no doubt.

I can't decide. Chrono is my pick, but the Seawolf is very attractive. Anyhting with a squared off crown and pushers is good IMHO, but whats not the only attraction. These wtaches have real substance, so choose either and wear in the best of health.

In fact, get both.

I wonder if the wolf wears bigger because its dial is more sparse than the Skyland. They're both busy dials but you have more empty space on the wolf.

Thanks! Everything is brushed, which worried me about showing scratches. But, it's held up nicely, looks as good as it did the day I bought it!

at one point i think that i would have said Avenger. now however i really just like the simply layout of seconds, minutes, hour, date so i would go with the seawolf.

plus i do not have much use for a chrono.

Good point. I think you are right in noticing this. To me it’s not the space existing that is the worry, it’s what watch designers do with that space that can make a watch more appealing, interesting or just plain bland. They can't necessarily dial in ugliness, but they sure as heck can make the face boring if they are not careful. Artful profession this watch designing thing, isn’t it! :)
