I am seriously looking at buying a NOS B-2 from an AD actually having a choice out of 2; one has a white face and looks to be a 2005-6 model, the other one has the blue face and looks to be a 2004 model.

Can anyone give me any reasons on why I should or should not by the B-2. The AD is a great guy, I bought my B-1 (2005 model) from him in February this year (also NOS) at a great price. The one thing that allways happens to me when wearing the B-1 is people asking me whther it is real or not.

Coming back to the B-2, it is a watch I don't see that often in live nor on the web. Anything putting people off?

Thanks for your help.

Hi Volvomania.
Welcome to the forum. A great choice of watch...I adore the B2. It was the first Breitling I got and I am so glad I did. I have the white face with the grey sub dials... I can remember taking sneaky glances at my watch and you can see the quality and craftmanship of this watch.

I cannot recommend the B2 enough... although it is personal preference....Try it on and see how it makes you feel. If it feels right, pull the trigger...if it doesn't, try on something else.

Good luck and we look forward to seeing some pictures of your new watch!

Patrick

I've never owned one myself, but I love the super-busy look of the dial. I was considering one for a while, but the desire for a Bentley overtook it. The B-2 is a lovely watch though.

As RJRJRJ said, if it shouts "BUY ME, BUY ME, BUY ME" to you, then I guess you'd better buy it! :D If it doesn't, well grab a copy of the Chronolog and flip a couple of pages - I guarantee something with speak up!

Thanks for the help.
I've stopped looking at the chronolog as too many watches are whispering to mee.
The idea of getting a B-2 came from having the B-1 of which I like the feel and wanting to get something mechanical.
I also fancy the Montbrillant Datora but it is of no use to me at present.

hey volvomania,

I'm a B-2 owner (amongst other things) and the thing that I really liked about this watch was the fact that it is a little bit of a cross between the navitimer style B's with the slide rule and complicated dial and the more sportier watches eg, Skylands, Steelfish etc... I really like mine (and it was my first B) so Im likely to hang on to it for a while, although other purchases are pressuring me :) . I say go for it if you like it.

I've got a few good pics if you are interested....

Andrew

Hey Oester, what problems do you mean?
Belgium has just found a way to keep the politicians busy and let the rest of us get on with our life without them constantly interfering. It also keep the journalists busy.....

Andrewpc; I'ld like to see some pics for sure!

I went to the AD today and got the B-2.
Blue face and SS bracelet.
Got some goodies as well: the little plate detailing what a B-2 is and the glass stand the place the individual watches on!
Saw some other niece pieces there as well. hmmm
