Head only as in the specifications.

I'm just asking as none of my untouched unpolished ones actually weigh their stated weight in the Chronolog.

2010 Steelfish 125.2g weighed
Breitling stated weight 122.5g

2010 Aero Avantage 39.1g
Breitling stated weight 38g

Am I just being crazy ? My scales are 100% correct.

Stop feeding them, they are gaining weight.
Cut down on the wrist cheese.
I don't think I'd be loosing any sleep over 1-2 grams.
I know they are precision instruments however for time measurements, not weight ;-)

I think you're trying to be a little too precise. Maybe Breitling transposed a 5 and a 2. Maybe somebody's scale is off.

It's certainly looking that way. :)

You're only talking about a few percent difference. It could be manufacturing variations (e.g., metal density/composition) or scale calibration.

No scale is 100% correct. Was it calibrated right before you weighed the watches by an authorized representative of whatever the UK uses for weights and measures standardization. It's NIST in the US, but I don't know the equivalent in the UK. Were the conditions exactly the same under testing as under calibration? Does the manufacturer guarantee a zero error margin? Etc ...

When you started a near identical thread last summer I commented that we must be running out of topics, I guess that if we need another topic on it then we must really be running out of topics.

Patience, only two more weeks to go and Baselworld will start, there will be an avalanche of topics then ;-)

Well I thought it was quite interesting that a high-end Swiss watch manufacturer would - ok,might - be a bit out in its measurements even if no one else did!
