I like this a lot (and have a feeling it will quickly disappear due to its unique factor)...it's something about brushed finishes which I just love (also the ability for it to hide fine scratches!). The open B01 is absolutely awesome as well. It's one of the biggest accomplishments any maker has made in recent time, so why not show it off?! It's such an integral part of the watch that hiding it almost doesn't do it justice! If I had the money, I'd buy one myself... Hopefully the positive reception to this will result in more brushed Chronomat options!!!

Looks amazing in those additional shots, really like the brushed steel and the yellow accents. As others said, a black date wheel would have been perfection but that's such a minor detail that I definitely wouldn't knock the watch for not having the black date wheel. Would love to see that on a black and yellow croc, it would really bring out the yellow accents on the hands. Enjoy!!

Very sharp looking watch. The bottom lugs near caseback look polished. Where's the polished top lugs?
;-)

Was there any conversation to make the subdial hands all yellow instead of just the tip?

I'm late to this party, very nice new piece. Limited to 50 is pretty cool too. A word of caution though, that son of yours may want to borrow it one day!

I don't believe that was brought up. I know there was some talk of the tachy numbers having some yellow in it but that didn't happen.

I'm sure he'll be happy with his Sub, at least I hope so.
