How do you buy a special edition breitling that is brand new from the AD. Like the ones with and airforce logo, or ford badge, ones like that in the 9 o clock position.

I see them on ebay, like the emergency is a popular one with all different logos. But i never see them brand new on breitling website or in the local AD window.

Some hints herë.

NEW models:
- Look for the announcements from Breitling and than pester your AD to secure one for you
- Visit as many ADs as you can and see what they have on display, you would be amazed what you can find in their display cabinets.
This is how I found two Limited Editions in the last two months.

Past models:
- Search used For Sale posts on various forums. Many to chose from.
That is How I came accross my new/old 1997 Hong Kong RAF Limited Edition
One also for sale on this forum - Hi Albert :)

Most of the logo special / limited editions are special commissions so not available in an AD unless that AD was associated with the order. There are some country specific ones, but those are the minority.

In the UK Andrew Michaels pretty much has a monopoly on those logo versions because they order the vast majority from Breitling.

I've found Wessa's strategy to work well! I'm in Salt Lake City right now and just happen to stumble upon one of the two AD's in town. (Yeah that was an accident.) They had an EVO LE that had obviously been in the case for a while and I'm hitting the other AD today.

Another option is to find an AD that has a great relationship with their Breitling rep. The rep will know where the LE inventory is and which AD's might have inventory they need to turn over. Geoff has found me two new LE's in the last two months that were supposed to be long sold out. One was his the other the rep found. He is now my FIRST call when I get the sickness and need something limited.

I love the way you put it Peter "when I get the sickness and need something limited".
Yes, it is a sikness and there is no cure for it, just a temporary relief - another :lingsrock: purchase.

I guess the ADs don't stock up on them, but they can probably order them. Here in Switzerland, some ADs even have them (well the Breitling Jet Team SE) on display in store...

I've learned over the last 7 months that changing staps helps get that new feeling back again but the fix only lasts a few days. I just added another strap to the watch I have inbound from Geoff...for when the new watch smell wears off.

By the way and back to Wessa's strategy for finding Limited Editions; the other AD here in Salt Lake City had a 125th Navitimer on the dreaded air racer, some black steel SW chronos and an LE dial Airwolf all new. That was a fair number of new LE's sitting in one case but no exceptional finds. Funny, no Super Connie to be found anywhere...hmmmm.

My understanding is that the ADs don't stock up or even order them but rather get them allocated/offered by Breitling country distributor based on the sales volumes.
That is at least what one of the ADs in Hong Kong told me.
Something the ADs here can perhaps comment on, would be interesting to know how this works.
