Terry--Here's a bad-light flash photo of the back:

Bad phone focus being what it is, I'll give you the aircraft. From the top of the photo, the Curtiss P-40, the Yakovlev YAK 3, the flash-obscured Spitfire Mark IX, the Messerschmitt Bf109, the F4U Corsair, and the P51 Mustang. ( I really need to find my wife's real camera) Some scratching on the back of the case, but the planes are nicely etched.

For those who don't know, this was a watch dedicated to the Breitling-sponsored flying team which flew those planes. I don't know what happened to the team but I'll have to research it.

I got this from my long-time watch guy, a service and pre-owned dealer, who just never gets Navitimers. He's been on the lookout for one for me for years when this one showed up. The day he got it, he called me up.

And, STAY THIRSTY MY FRIENDS!

Now that's a CASEBACK! Awesome, you sure scored on this piece - might want to flip it over and wear it caseback up once in a while :D . Enjoy and let me know when you plan to 'release' it

I've only had one person (a friend) ever notice a watch that I was wearing, a Speedy Pro at the time.
When I see someone wearing an interesting watch I usually ask what they have or to take a look at it. Even these people haven't asked what I was wearing.

The Breitling Fighters were based at ex-RAF Duxford, England. The aircraft were part of The Old Flying Machine Company (OFMC) and owned by Ray and Mark Hanna (Father & Son). Both have since passed away. Ray due to illnes, Mark in a flying accident with the Hispano Buchon HA-1112 (Merlin engined Bf-109).
