The bottom line is there's two sides to every story and we will never know the ins and outs of this situation.

OP I hope you eventually get everything worked out. That is all I will say.

I told the "pro-George commenter" to place his comments in the feedback forum, never did I tell him to bug off. You constantly try to prove how right you are, get your facts in order. This thread wasnt started in order to bash George, nor should it turn into a love fest. The OP has a serious issue with an expensive timepiece and the comments should be kept on topic, not expressing your love or dislike for an AD; there's a specific forum for that.

For pete sake it is just a watch forum coming to the aid/support of a guy who was going through an unacceptable situation with a watch, not a Grand Jury. What should we say once he IDs the AD - "Oh you must be an idiot because we all know they are the BEST!" It still seems to me the types of comments are - (1) typical AD bashing from those who don't know anything about the AD and (2) guarded comments from those who do know the AD.

I've stated my position over an over, so any further comment would seem pointless.

There are two take aways for me reading this thread: the first is a reinforcement and the second if it ever happens:

1. There are always three sides to a story; mine, yours and the truth.

2. Any issue you have with your expensive time piece;start with your AD NOT with BUSA/BUK etc

It's called backing up what I say. I was taught that it's a good thing to do. I didn't realize it was frowned upon here.

I was speaking figuratively. You were telling him his comments were inappropriate in this thread, and he should make them elsewhere. To me, that's telling him to bugger off.

mfserge disagrees with JacksonStone, JacksonStone disagrees with mfserge, we get it. No minds will be changed with another 112 posts on the topic!

Hugely disappointed with how this has turned out.

OP PM'd me asking me to delete the entire thread which I obviously wasn't prepared to do, but looks like he has now edited his post to remove all of the extremely valuable content.

Locking now, although it seems a little pointless at this point.
