Hi all.

Looking for the best way I should position my Navitimer World - over night - with it losing the least amount of time (seconds). I understand the fact that owning an automatic timepiece is not to accurately tell time, but rather to enjoy and savour the elegance and prestige aspect of the whole deal.

This said, and without owning a winder, I read somewhere that how you let your watch sit over night can be contingent on whether it will lose or gain in time. Is this B.S.?

I'm sure some of you enthusiasts out there have been scientific at one point or another and can help me bypass the learning curve.

It varies from watch to watch and could also greatly depend on ambient temperature. Why not try a week in each position and test it for yourself?
Just don't rest it on the crown!

Laying the watch on it's back will cause it to run faster than laying it on its side if all other factors are equal - that's consistent from watch to watch.

Is it a bad thing to let it rest on the crown?

Stupid question maybe, but how do you do that with a deployant strap?

Wrap it round the cushion from the inner box / travel case, or if it's a leather deployant just slide it out.

Since I do not have a winder, that means that my watches are always on their back, when not worn, because I always store them in their OEM cushion. Is that OK?
