Quick question....I'm speaking to an AD who says that I can place my order for 2 watches (Avenger & Colt Oceane), pay half now and the other half when they come in as they are on backorder. With a price increase taking effect in the next couple weeks, I asked him if this would affect me. He told me that because my order would be finalized now, that it didn't matter that he received them after the price increase, I would only pay the XXXX amount set right now.

Would he still be paying PRE-price increase prices because he'll put in the order through Breitling before the price increase settles in? or is he going to get a shocker that he's paying POST-price increase prices and maybe try to tell me that he has to refund my money after I wait weeks for them to come in?

Any help would be appreciated.

THANKS!!

Must be a US thing then, because 100% guarantee that's not my experience here in Canada

It's pretty simple to me.... if the watch was paid, or a deal done, the dealer absorbs the loss if shipped from Breitling after the 19th. If it was simply an order with no money down then the customer pays the extra. Does that make too much sense?

I bet the shipping dept. will be pretty slow getting watches out the week before the deadline. Sort of like my oil guy always showing up the day after an increase to top off the tank. Never fails.

It becomes an issue when its a thin deal, dealernis making 6 or 700 on a watch and his cost goes up $500. You can see where that might make it sticky

FEAR is correct on this one (at least in the US market)... The current wholesale price at the time of shipment is what the dealer will pay. The AD would just eat the difference if the product shipped after the increase (which is Feb 21st in the US)...

So is the price increase official now? If so, do we have the new prices for all the models yet?
