Among the very informative articles on breitlingsource.com are the ones that help you spotting a replica. The link below take you to one of them, however i am a bit confused and need a little help here.

http://www.breitlingsource.com/articles ... ials.shtml

As could be seen in the article, the 2nd example focuses on spotting a replica via its unfilled applied wing logo and it is mentioned that the applied wing logo will always be filled. However, on example three, the image for the real navitimer shows an unfilled wing logo...so what is what? :)

Waiting for a bit of clarification...thanx

so if it is painted it will not be a solid logo, and if it is filled it has to be a solid loge...is that correct? 8)

If it's painted, it can't be filled.
If it's applied it has to be filled (solid).

I recently had a lunch get together with a co-worker and while at the dinner table, his watch hand went across the table and I noticed that it looked like a Breitling due to the pilot bracelet.

After dinner, I asked him if he was a Breitling fan. He then proceeded to ask me how much the watch was.

I pointed out the following before even guessing on a price:

(a) Lack of AR (bluish tint)
(b) Crystal looks awful, at an angle it all gets distorted
(c) Doesn't look like any Breitling that I've seen after closer inspection.

After I pointed those out, he said I shouldn't wear it then eh? I then said not around me.

He got it for $80 from a airline stewardess that frequently flys to China.

Ah... fakes :fake:
