I'm considering the purchase of a SO II to commemorate the birth of our first child (wife is still pregnant :) )

I'm not sure how the SO II will wear in, rubber bezel and all. I would buy it with a Diver Pro II on deployant (if possible) to rotate with my Colt II as a daily wear, but not sure how well it would hold up.

I'll be relocating to the USA in the next few months, so could buy one there from a good AD.

Wondering how people have found them to be after several months of wear.

Please chime in with opinions and pics!

Thanks!

I got mine a while ago (think I was the second person to post a picture on here) and it still looks great. In fact i would say it shows essentially zero wear including on the rubber bezel, and wear roughly every other day I'd say.

Go for it. I usually keep it on a blue rubber strap and its a fantastic casual watch for any occasion. Throw a black leather strap on there and I can wear it with a suit no problem.

:yeahthat

I got mine right when they came out and worn it pretty regularly since then. Everything still looks the same as when new.

What did you guys chose for color? Leaning towards Yellow/Black, but have not eliminated Black/Black....

Bracelet (Pro II) or Strap (Diver Pro II on deployant) on this beauty?

Thanks a lot guys!

Black/Yellow is the best combo IMO. Mine is on the DP II with deployment. I am not a fan of the SOII on the bracelet...not sure why, it just does not do anything for me.

I think it is the perfect casual watch...it's usually the only watch I wear over the weekend.

I went yellow, but there have been a few times I wish I bought black. I think youll feel that way no matter which one you choose. I think I made the right decision.

I really love that thing, the only thing holding me back at this point is it is the same movement as my Colt, no additional complications, so essentially it's the same watch with a different exterior.

Does anyone else consider this or am I being anal?

I wish I had the $$ to go in on the LE B01, man I would sell a kidney for it!

went with blue/black. wear it on a black leather strap with a suit or something and on blue rubber for casual wear. pics attached.

That's different Zoli, I like it. Not my style really, but nice to see somethign different. I'm more of a neutral color guy. I have white dials with batons 100% of the time. I want to get into something with a black dial, and the SO II font is one of the few I really like.

That being said I have not decided 100% yet. Not sure if the black dial wears too small. Not sure how I feel about having 2 caliber 17 movements in my only 2 watches.

What a mess LOL.

The second picture has it next to my Navi World. It's smaller no doubt about it, but it really doesn't wear small. If you're a neutral kind of guy looking for a change this is a great option, but if you want something bigger have you considered the SOH? A little more money, but those are really nice.

The black ring version will definitely wear larger than the yellow one. Very similar to the way a little Rolex Sub wears a lot larger than youd expect. The yellow seems to break up the dial and bezel from blending together, so it doesnt wear very large.

Mine has been holding up like a champ with no issues. Bought it with the ruber deploy and just added the bracelet the other day.
