The only slight concerns I have about the Chronomatic is that it has been sat at the dealer for almost 4 years and whilst being sold as NOS, I'm concerned about the condition of the movement...........................

Ask them to do an oil change - that will be all it needs.

Hey Stef - the Chronomatic is an LE. Enough said IMO.

No problem at all with the BB - it's a great watch - but the CM LE is a no-brainer as far as I'm concerned.

Exactly!

Im really liking this LE .....like really liking it......damn u. :lingsrock:

Funny isnt it, our opinion on one man's collection/taste.

I've been thinking about this for a couple of days and talking with mates about it (and maybe I'm going to get grief about this post what with my cof and all).

I think it's in the heart.

If you 'just' collect maybe they are just your watches (and you can have loads with money and diamonds be you young or old and that's just money.)

I know Stef and he does not just collect, he lives/loves his watches. This makes it so hard to answer a 'this watch or that watch' question.

Go with your gut matey.

I'd go for the CM LE as well, but then I've already got two BB's (Brushed and Blacksteel). Either way, you can't go wrong.

Well I think my decision is made, I'm going to go for the Blackbird. It's been on my hit list for a very long time and very rarely does one come up at that price in the UK whereas I know of 5 of the Chronomatic's for sale in the UK.

Sensible thing, buy the BB, if I really, really don't like it then I can sell it and buy the 24H without loosing money, I'm not sure it would work out the other way around.

My other thoughts are I currently have a Navitimer World, a Navitimer Olympus and a 1969 Navitimer Chronomatic. I think I really need something from a different range and Windrider is one I've not yet explored, not to mention it's a little more water resistant than the Navi's!

The Blackbird brushed faceted bracelet is a work of art and of course the BB lends itself to many strap combo's too.

Thanks for the input guys, been a difficult choice and I guess I'd better add that 24H to my wanted list now.............................

Stef
