My new superocean steelfish seems to be inconsistant with the date change...should i be concerned at all? Last night the date changed 4 minutes before midnight. The night before it changed 1 minute after midnight. Is this a common "issue" with the movement inside the superocean? I don't really mind, but i just want to confirm that its not an abnormality.

It's not an issue, it's perfectly normal.

The date change process is not instantaneous and therefore the time that you acyually see the change (not the same as the change process) can vary by a few minutes.

This came up in another thread recently, so I ran some tests on my Superocean. My date change ocurred within a range of a few minutes before to one minute after midnight. I don't recall what the exact range was, but it wasn't the same.

EDIT: I mean it wasn't the same every time. So, there's nothing wrong with your watch.
