You're right, this is not the only forum on the net.

If "you fail at the internet" is an unbearable insult in your book, you probably need to stay off messageboards altogether.

I believbe that this post is looking for owner pics of a blue dial baton SA.

I am sure that any further posts in this thread will address that, it's what I would expect of BreitlingSource members :!:

Bub, if I posted a question on a forum, the MOMENT a total stranger bothered to open a new tab to Google my question, THEN HE HAS HELPED. Regardless of the result (that's just fine-tuning).

Also, if I posted a question & the answers weren't what I was seeking, I'd re-state my question in a different, hopefully more clear manner.

Now you can take this however u wish of course, but I, like Fear, am just tryin to help.

So the condescending tone of those posts is to be taken as help? Ok, I'm with you on that

Timebandit was the only one who has provided me with some insight, the rest...

So, anyway, I think it's time to move on.

Does any one here own a SA blue dial with baton markers? If so, would that person please post a picture of their watch?

Thanks.

I just saw one at an AD in Houston, and based on what I saw through the glass display, I have to say that I liked the blue on the numerals better, the blue color on the batons looked a lot darker, and the batons didn't stand out as sharp as the white or black one.

:yeahthat I wound up getting the bllue dial w/ silver subs. I agree the blue w/ batons is much darker and will be seen almost as black in person. I saw the black w/ batons and blue w/ batons in person side by side. From far away they look like the same watch.

Noted, with a q. With or without you're still a class act with your name calling. Pure drama queen attention seeker, one I don't believe I needed any opinions or comments from when I tried to help with the initial question.

For one he didn't get it. ...and for two I try to stay positive. People who throw little shots on the forums look for a fight, and low and behold look what it turned into. If it was my forum I certainly wouldn't be holding back like I am now. I don't recall saying unbearable. (another tactic to fight on message boards)

Anyway, if anyone has something to say to me write me through private message so I can say what I really think.

Actually, if u hang around forums much, you'd be SHOCKED how many posted before doing a simple Google or use the "Search" button. So, I still don't feel any "meanness" was intended -- more like a nagging "didn't u google it first?".

On the other hand I read a very recent thread of someone looking for pic of Skyracer "on the wrist". But this poster actually provided a link to a studio shot of a Skyracer with a "just like this one" clarification -- which of course prevents any misunderstanding in the first place.

But the "new guy" & "forum cliques" remark totally lost me. Both Lilac1 & I registered only last month -- certainly "newer" than the "new guy" (at least in this thread), no?

Back on topic, I agree with the comments that blue-on-blue SA appears very dark & similar to black-on-black baton. I did consider the blue because my other Ling already has a black face & I don't want the new Ling to "feel" too similar.

Remember also, the AR coatings are blue tinted, so the similarity is even greater at most angles -- and (to me) the blue-on-blue appears like a "faded" version, especially when viewed side-by-side, of the black-on-black baton -- which I ended up getting (exactly 10 days ago).

Having said that, YMMV, and certainly you should look at it in person & most importantly, on YOUR wrist before u decided!

I replied the way I did because people seemed to just ignore the "fail" shot and made an issue of the poster's response. I just thought it was a BS thing to do so I called it how I seen it. Am I going to lose sleep over it, definitely not, and it seems the battle is over. :)

I'm guessing the pics may have been requested because like myself he might not have an AD close. Mine is 4 hours away, which seemed like a long way until I received my SA and wasn't a big fan of the blue dial. I'm cool with it now but that trip to the AD probably got a little closer and would happen for my 3rd ling.

Passed by an AD & they happened to have a blue-on-blue baton, so here's a quick side-by-side (just for the "new guy" )

Image

iPhone photo under AD halogen lighting. Under normal, not so bright light, the blue appears darker. But w blue Diver Pro I can totally see this SA in my collection! Oh boy, so many Lings, too few wrists!!

I would recommend the black. It also looks clean on the ocean racer. Makes it look like a whole new watch. Good luck.
