Hello,
i'd like first to apologize for my english, cause i'm a frenchman and try to speak as good as I can.
I decided to buy my first "big watch" and choose the breitling navitimer with the steel bracelet. Pretty big amount of money for me, but i wanted something to remember my 20 years.
http://www.flickr.com/photos/beastmasterno2/1559791981/Exactly that one without the dial. First i was just searching for the price, the best price, just that, then i found on that watch for 2K i was ready to buy (stupid me) then verify on the internet, it was a scam, a fake seller. That was disgusting so i started being more careful about my buy.
I tried for to go to AD's and in Belgium people are asking $7.2K for the watch, so the difference was just so huge. I had to calculate the taxes and the shipping cost, but no deal avalaible. Then i contacted a guy in Holland who was selling it for 5K (certainly grey market, but not sure) with all the papers. That was for me a pretty good deal, i was able to go to the place, get the cost certificate, pay in cash. Get a contact. But that guy was a Second Handed seller and that makes me think about and maybe it was too "clean" to be good.
My last try was on the internet. After discussion and a long chat conversation i finaly got the watch $4.8K with:
-The full Breitling Warranty (not internet home made one) stamped
-The cost certificate
-The Whole papers
-The complete box
-The intact serial Number
-Shipping cost included to Europe
That's for me a pretty good deal even if i had to add 200 ou 300 dollars for the duties, anyway it was a good deal for me.
I'm going to order certainly next week but i'd like to know your opinion before because i wasn't a user but i learned a lot from your forum.
Thanks for your help.
