So, since this is "next" year, I am released from my self-imposed lengthy on-the-iPhone-while-waiting-for-the-wife-to-finish-shopping posting restrictions...

This new year I did promise myself to keep improving my watch handling skills -- specifically the use of Bergeon 6767 tool.

So passing through one of the numerous "costume watch" stands at the mall, decided to purchase one for its unique belt (threw away the watch) for just S$10 (~US$7).

On the Bergeon tool, amazing what an itty-bitty little notch at the end of what is essentially a screwdriver can achieve in assisting the removal of the springbars. So changing from rubber to leather proved to be a no-brainer. I suspect handling steel bracelets will be trickier since there is no "give" where the belt fits within the lugs, like rubber or leather.

Here's a couple of before/afters:

The wife's not crazy abt putting a $5K watch on a $7 strap though. I don't know, I kindda like the more "Rocker-look" of this strap w the chunky EM. Perhaps mid-life crisis effects? What do you think?

I think the strap looks like it was made for the watch - it's fantastic! and I usually don't like that sort of look, but in this case I think it's super cool. I'd just be careful that it didn't break on you.

All placed inside THIS (bit of an overkill imo) :

I'll give you $200USD for that bag

Gotta agree with your wife on this one. Not a fan of the strap, sorry.

But I do enjoy the posts, keep 'em coming. :lingsrock:

Looks better than 99% of the "breitling imitation" leather straps I see floating around, then again I'm disgusted by anything smelling like replica.
The strap tries to do something different, and pulls it off.
