I am was the AD today and was browsing the Breitling selection. I tried on the Super Ocean Chrono, and I like it alot. Any thoughts on this watch, or is the the cheap way of getting the Chronomat look? Also tried on the new B01 black face silver subs...WOW, amazing... Thoughts???

Keith

The SO Chrono is a fine watch and if you like it (which is the single most important thing) then you could certainly do a lot, lot worse.

My thoughts on the Chronomat B01 are quite well documented on here  , but suffice to say I really don't like the styling. The movement is undoubtedly great, but the Chronomat B01 styling..........er, no thanks.

I bought the CSO a few months ago. I love it to bit! thw watch has everything i wanted for the price i could afford. Nice and chunky, day,and date.polished finish and even has the 'B on the second had which i notice some dont. And lastly even the back of the watch is stunning. The watch gets noticed everywhere and really stands out. but most of all get the one you like, not the one other people like

Its as good as any other Breitling. If you like the styling, get it.

The CSO is the sleeper of the Breitling line. It is every bit as nicely made and detailed as any other watch including the Chronomat. It has fallen out of favor a little because it is considered small in the world of Breitlings, but is still plenty big on the wrist, with excellent presence. I've owned 3 of them and all have kept excellent time and worked flawlessly.

Had my CSO for two days now...Amazing watch. It has everything i looked for in a watch, from the look (No numbers, a busy dial with the applied wings logo, the B on the second hand, a discrete bezel, chunky watch at 15.1mm and not that big at 42mm considering my small 6.5 inches wrists), to the fonctionality of the Chronograph, Day/Date, and 500m.

For me it was between that and the Chronomat blackface, silver subdials. Although i love the pilot bracelet and the 44mm size, the CSO won for two reasons, it's 1700 less for the same quality and the same movement, and i just loved the Day-Date function since i work on shifts and never know what day of the week we are.

If you buy it you will love it.

Thats a savings of $850 per mm. Great choice it looks perfect on your wrist. Enjoy it. :lingsrock:
