I just received a number if straps from ABP Paris. Besides the point of this post, but I am just astounded at the quality! They keep getting better and better every year! They are now as good or better than most high end OEMs. With prices to match though...

Anyway, on a whim I bought a Paul Newman strap package. Originally bought for my Fifty Fathoms, but that definitely doesn’t work. So I am trying it on the Glashütte Original Panomatic Counter:

I don’t know if it’s just a matter of getting used to but it just looks wrong to me. I feel like I am one step away from getting a Ventura watch like Elvis wore.

What do you guys think?

I hope that wasn't a final sale. I'd return that right away.

Definitely not my cup of tea.

That being said, I have done some exploring of ABP's website, and their straps really do look quite nice!

Yea I don't think that strap goes very well with the GO either.

As Justin has already noted, it may be time to check out their return policy!

It's been a few years since I bought from them, but ABP make superb straps.

That said, and I'm sorry to say it Altair, but I'm not a fan of that strap either. The GO is superb, but the strap is a no from me. :(

Yup, I just needed to make sure it was not me. Fortunately I can use the strap itself, but will indeed remove the under pad portion.

Shame, as the bund does what I bought it for quite well, which is to serve as a layer between freezing metal and skin. We go on desert safaris often in the winter time, and the temperature gets below zero with constant exposure to the cold weather. Any form of protection from the cold is welcome to say the least!

Night still use it during those times regardless of how silly it looks.

Actually, since the bund really is meant for exactly that practical purpose, why not? Makes sense to me. :)
