DAMMIT! Another great watch! 46mm case, classic Zenith chronograph looks with an updated style, legendary El Primero movement, and an excpetionally reasonable 6000 USD retail for the steel model! Here is a pic:

http://www.zenith-watches.com/en/#/news/archives/49

Street prices should be around the 4200 USD mark if you have a decent relationship with your AD, compare that with a Chronomat B01 for value!

I cant even consider this watch after my long buying binge (translation: I will own one as soon as it comes out  )

Specs:

Movement
El Primero 405B, Automatic
Caliber : 13 1/4 ``` (Diameter: 30 mm)
Depth : 6.60 mm
Parts : 331
Jewels : 31
Frequency : 36,000 V/h – (5 Hz)
Power reserve : over 50 hours
· Regulator assembly with fine adjustment
· Central rotor with ball bearings
· Automatic winding in both directions
· Rapid date reset
· Chronograph function
· Column wheel governing chronograph function

Decoration
· Rhodium-plated platinum
· Circular-graining and chamfering on the bridges
· Strokes drawn on the hammers, levers and conveyors

Holy sh%t!! There is nothing about that watch I do not love - not one thing!! OK, the size at 46mms probably saves me $4500+sales tax.

Also in May Zenith is having a price DECREASE so the 2010 El Primero 36000vph goes from $7900 to $6900 retail!!!!

This reinvention of Zenith is definitely hitting the mark. I personally liked the Defy range, but this return to classic looks makes a lot of sense, and modern twists like this will increase the appeal.

Zenith value for money is also right there now - in house high beat flyback movement for well under $5,000 street is incredible (and I have to say that it makes caliber 01 Breitlings seem expensive).

 That's the best new Zenith I've seen. Full stop.

It looks awesome..... I just hope there's a bracelet option for it....... and I'd like to know what that bezel insert is made of. I'm damn sure it's not rubber (thank god), but it'd be great if it was ceramic.

I agree with you guys, it is by far my favorite new Zenith and that movement seems very well decorated and finished, especially for the price! Chronograph models from other manufacturers at this price range come equiped with ETA models and are usually less finely finished from the pictures I see. It seems almost financially irresponsible NOT to buy this watch!

Not sure about this one, but the visually identical bezel on the Stratos Striking 10th is ceramic so I wouldn't be surprised. There is also a black version of this watch, but using alchron as the surfact coating.

Oh and there is supposedly a bracelet option. The prices that I heard were actually $6,700 for this version but that's not official so Altair may be right at $6,000. I heard $7,600 on bracelet - don't have pictures though.

Not loving the bezel on this one. I have been waiting patiently for Zenith's price reduction so I can grab a 36,000. May can't come soon enough!!!

That thing is filthy!!!! Great classic design, and a value watch at that. The only thing is I do prefer the pushers on the 36000, but the much cooler bezel makes up for the difference.

Good Job Zenith!!

Actually that info is slightely off on two things, the price IS 6700, so street closer to 4500, and teh size is not 46mm, but 45.5 to be exact.

Damn good all round I'd say. Makes the Chronomat 01 look a bit expensive if you ask me, considering that the El Primero is a truly legendary movement, and with the flyback complication as well......

Please stop! I am already struggling with adding this to my must buy list! Thankfully I have my watch limit to keep me in check, unfortunately I am too attached to all my current pieces! Which to sell now?

Wow, best looking Zenith ive ever seen...by far. Probably too large for me, but the price sounds like a relative bargain.

Wow! That is by far and away the best looking Zenith I've ever seen and at a pretty good price from the sounds of it. Too big for me though at 46mm :(

Great find, very nice to see a really excellent new edition.
